There is a way King David reflected about God; He had a kind
of mindset of who God is. And I found out that to him, God was everything
around him.
He saw God as his shield, his rock, his fortress, his
deliverer, his strength, his light, etc.
He so personalized God’s abilities as if he was the only one
on earth.
How do you see God?
How you see Him is directly proportional to how much
knowledge you have of Him. And how much knowledge you have of Him is also
directly proportional to how much power you have inside of you.
The difference between you and your pastor is KNOWLEDGE of
God’s word (apart from the anointing upon his life). In other words, you can do
what your pastor does and get the same result. Because it is the same word of
God and it is practicable.
The more of God’s word in your spirit, the more power you
have in you. And power (the dynamic ability to cause changes) is what you need
to live a victorious Christian life. A powerless Christian is a defeated
Christian.
There are some things that you know now that if you had
known years back, you could have changed the outcome. And there are some things
that victimized you that don’t anymore because of what you now know.
“Accepting” Christ is the first step you take and “Knowing”
Christ is a way to continuously grow.
There is knowing His word and there is acting His word.
Knowing Him (The word of God) is the power you have and
Acting His word is the release of the power in you.
So, for example, if a friend of mine has cancer, I recognize
the devil is at work here because his work is to steal (good health) from God’s
people and I also know that Christ has given us perfect health by His blood on
the cross, so that can’t be God making my friend sick.
That is knowledge coming to play here, deciphering that the
hand of the devil is at work here.
So now that I know all this, what can I do with this knowledge?
I ACT on God’s word.
And one of the ways to act is by speaking. Speak God’s word
to that situation.
And when you do, you release God’s power that is in you to
cause that situation to change and it will surely change.
E.g. In the name of Jesus, friend you shall not die. For the
Lord Jesus came that we might have life and have it in abundance (John 10:10),
therefore receive life in your body. And we come against every power of cancer
holding you bound, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. And we bleed the blood of
Jesus upon your life and decree that you are set free forever in Jesus name.
Amen.
When you do this, God’s power goes into action to bring what
you have said to pass.
In Psalm 138:2, you would find that God exalts His word
above His name. He is ever faithful to what He has said. So speak His word in
every situation and see Him get to work. Keep speaking until you get results.
And
endeavour to know His word for yourself. The revelation you get from your
personal study of His word can never leave you. And it is more powerful that
the one you get from someone else.
So get to the word. Speak it. See results.
God bless you.
