What Have You Achieved?

By Oladeinde Abiola

The biggest achievement one could have is not building 10 houses or buying 50 cars. It is about how many lives you've invested in. It's all about how many people would rather pray for you than pray for their own long lives.

It is not about how long but how well. Mandela is a very rich man not because he has houses and cars but because he has invested in lives. Many people would die in his place because he has stretched a helping hand into their lives.

Basket mouth and Ay's achievements were compared and during the comparism, I discovered that Basket Mouth has more awards both nationally and internationally but AY won because he has helped many young men to be able to stand on their own, to be able to afford 3-square meals, buy cars and even feed other people.

Now, whatever Seyi Law has achieved is owned to AY who brought to limelight. Whatever every other person he has helped like Akpororo has achieved is owed to him because he has spent his life making the biggest investment. So, why shouldn't he win achievement contests.

Have you for once asked yourself these questions; how many people live for me? How many people hate me because people love me? How many people will say on national TV, "She is my mento"? How many people wish that I was born into their families? Will my parents gladly say that I am their favorite son/daughter in the world? How many people will say "my life would not have been complete if he wasn't born because he has given me a reason to live"?

What have you achieved? Are you proud of your achievement(s)?
